Week 38 Baby Update!

At 38 weeks, baby is now the size of a BABY! Seriously…it’s almost here!

Symptoms: Braxton Hicks are more intense and regular now. Hip pressure can be rough, but very thankful that I’ve been having massages and chiropractic adjustments. Actually waking up in the middle of the night to pee now but thankful that is only a more recent thing. Had a little swelling in my feet by the end of the day some days, but nothing major. Doctor said everything looks good so far…now it’s a waiting game!

Favorite thing to wear: Just to be comfortable. Bought a few nursing bras, nursing tanks, and comfy sweatpants in preparation for post-baby.

Activity: I try to accomplish at least 2 things a day, and then rest for the remainder.

Food: I haven’t had any weird cravings during pregnancy, but I really miss sushi. I am very excited to eat that soon!

Milestones/Planning: Purchased remaining items for baby prep – just trying to get everything arranged (like taking care of the dog) so we don’t have to worry about it once baby arrives. Organized our hospital-stay snacks and started packing the hospital bag. Created some post-partum padsicles (they are all the rage!). Still deciding on a name for the baby, but running out of time!

Currently Reading/Watching: Started The Wonder Weeks which has been recommended by pretty much every parent I know.
