At 17 weeks, baby is now the size of a white onion! Let’s caramelize!
Symptoms: Overall pretty good. This has been our monster pack-the-house-we-are-moving-out week, so feeling tired and back aching, but not really from the pregnancy. Started to feel my rib cage digging into the top of my belly which is uncomfortable but only encourages better posture.
Favorite thing to wear: Shorts! It is humid in Houston, especially when packing up the house.
Activity: See above…packing! We also had a great night of dancing back at HSDS.
Food: Eating all of our Houston favorites, which isn’t always healthy but very delicious.
Milestones/Planning: Still trying to recognize baby moving. Many first-time mothers don’t feel anything until 20 weeks, but I’m antsy! It’s highly likely I’ve felt baby, but didn’t know that’s what I was feeling. It’s also strange to feel and hear the blood flowing into your abdomen.
Currently Reading: Still reading Ina May’s Guide to Childbirth. I’ve been slow reading lately, but thoroughly enjoying this book and recommend for any expectant parents.
